Lacking Range
Well, I might be crazy, and overwishing, but I feel my SR just isn't performing to what I have it set for in range. Considering my near stock M4 matches it or even shoots farther now, kinda makes me wonder whats up.. I rough estimated about 140-145 ft in range.
Current specs: Systema Silent Piston Head kit Prometheus Piston MS110SP Helical Gears Madbull 6.03 455mm tightbore EG 1000 8.4 3300 large pack systema nozzel, I think Could it be the gears, hopup perhaps? Im not sure, im open to feedback, mods, changes, ect.

If the velocity is correct, then there's nothing wrong in the gearbox. The only thing that would affect range (beyond velocity) is hop up.
And then there's the rare instance where the BB is catching something along the bottom of the barrel as it exits, causing it to rotate downwards, and essentially, picking up "Hop-Down". In that case, it would probably fly straight towards the ground much sooner than 140feet. Make sure your hop up rubber isn't slathered in grease and is able to put a good backspin on the BB. If you max your hop up out and the BB still isn't hooking upwards, then your hop up is messed. |
