AK autoback bolt: Need measurements
I've got an autoback bolt kit for the ak which is missing the 'L' shaped piece which hooks inside the mechbox. If anyone has this kit which is not installed yet, would you be able to send me closeup pictures of it along with its measurements. Length, width, diameter, etc... as much info as you can.
Thanks. |

Hey buddy,
I've got the part lying around in one of my tool boxes. I'll take some picks and make some measurements for you. If I remember correctly, you have a fair bit of machining and manufacturing stuff available to you right? If you can find the correct stock material should be a snap (not a bad AEG snap!) to make it. Shoot me a PM with an e-mail address. Tys |

Thanks Tys, I just picked up a spare gear box to try this out with, so if you find it, it would be awesome. My 'workshop' is pretty ghetto, and my tool-fu weak, but I can usually MacGuyver something together, :P
I'll PM ya. Cheers! MQ UPDATE: Here's some pics and info from m102404 that helped me out immensely... Probably very rare that anyone else would need it this, but at least it's here... And the measurements... 49mm long - long part of L to back edge of short part of L 13.5mm high - short part of L to back edge of long part 3mm diameter of short part of L (it's round) 1mm thickness of long part (basically round stock squished flat) 3mm width of long part c clip is set approx 4mm from tip of short part of L Last edited by Murdoch; July 17th, 2007 at 05:02.. |
