Exclamation Nineball high flow valve problem

Hi, I just installed this valve for a KJW 9m mag, it fit almost perfectly (I can't thigten completly the valve because the window will not face completly), but all I have is, at first, some underpowered shots than, after 2 or 3 shots, start not cycling completly (the slide doesn't come back completly) than not at all and it loose the gas... I'm using propane. Maybe this valve is not meant for the mag, but asked wgc to be sure (m92f valve). Thank you, and yes I did some research before asking ^^)

How are you filling your magazines?

Do you have an enhanced hammer spring installed?

I'm filling the mag down, it work very great with the stock valve, good power, but maybe it is because it can't open the nineball valve enough to have power enough to cycle. Would a 190% hammer spring do the job? I was thinking that all an high flow valve would do was to let more gas passe, not that it would make the gun weaker to cycle. If I open the holes on the stock valve to create an high flow valve, will I have the same problem? thank you

If you don't have access to a hammer spring right now, one thing you can do is to take the spring out, place a BB at the bottom of the spring chamber and reinstall the spring. It will add enough preload to act like a 150% hammer spring.

I've done the stock valve modifications on a KSC valve before and it didn't do anything. It performed the same as if it were stock. I don't know how that would work with a Marui valve.

Post Hammer spring disassembly

I have another question sir, I disassembled part of the gun and there is a little pin at the rear bottom end of the grip. I tried to poped it out, even with a hammer and except for the scratchs I get, it doesn't move. Should I hammer stronger? Actually I'm trying to figure out how to access it myself since in airsoft gbbs on the net, it is very hard to find "how to do" things. If you ever know of suprises I will get and/or advices you could tell me, thank you very much,

Job done! A bb is to small and goes in the spring so I place a little bolt at the bottom to make a higher floor to the spring, and it was pretty hard to reinstal. The gun work good but not with the high flow valve, still very weak and not cycling. I asked Redwolf and they can't tell why, I'm gonna ask WGC and Uncompagny.

I've used that valve several times and never experienced such a problem. Are you applying silicone oil to it?

I'm running propane with silicone oil and sometimes green gas, but maybe are you saying to apply some directly on the valve|rings?

I have an answer already (from The Q project) telling that "Likely that even though KJWs copy designs of the TMs, they aren't exact. Nineball has TM and other Japan specs in mind... so your valve isn't being depressed properly.

Try buying a TM mag for your KJW."

Running a TM mag even with high flow valve doesn't seem the best thing to do from what I read yet.

Still waiting from others websites. Maybe I'll try a KA high flow valve. I don't have a dremel and from reviews I saw, most people, like you, are saying that it doesn't change anyhting.

Ah, I never noticed that you said you were installing it in a KJW. I think that could also be the problem. KJW guns have never been as upgrade friendly as a Marui. I don't think a Marui mag would work too well in your KJW either.

Actualy I bought this gun for many reasons, one was that I saw a review on a major website saying that upgrades for this gun were abundants, easy to find, and that it was easy to achieve 400fps. Well, even after all I went trough internet in my life, it seems that I still make the mistake to trust to much what I'm reading. Thank you for your help, I'll continu my searching to pass time

Don't be discouraged. You can name the website that had the review that sold you on the gun. My first pistol was almost a CYMA glock and I was also looking into an AEP. After more research I settled on a TM Glock 17 3rd Generation which I'm presently upgrading. I don't have any KJW guns so can't attest to their quality so I'll direct you to Tokyo Marui or KSC as there are tons of parts and accessories for them.

One of the website that influence me was this one: http://www.planetairsoft.net/reviews...-kjelitem9.htm You can read this: "You can install the usual gas blow back pistol upgrade parts on the KJ Elite including: Hi Flow Valves, TN Barrels, Stronger Recoil Spring or Stronger Hammer Spring" I also saw on an other website the 400fps.

It is also funny to look for the real fps of the gun. It vary from 250fps up to 400fps on some site (with a mixed of green/red).

I bought it from Anderson and Anderson for 259$. I choose this gun because of the reviews, the fact that it was a full metal for such a low price.

The gun itself run flawlessly (after 1 bottle 1/2 of propane), it's strong and look really good. It's just that I really love to upgrade all the toys I have, whatever it be a car, and rc, a computer etc ^^

Not a bad review. I've read fruitier. I looked on WGC and I think the valve you got is for a Tokyo Marui M9. I know KJW make Marui and KSC clones so I think a high-flow valve for a KSC magazine is what you require. I'd reinstall the stock valve, gas it up and use the poor man's chronograph from Redwolf.
