Need Help with Bowman's PRR Headset

Hey guys,

I recently broke my Bowman Headset.Here are some pics:





Can this be fixed with soldering it together OR should i just throw it AWAY?

If you are gonna throw it away, put my address on it and dump it in the red trashcan found on most streets.

Most likely it can be fixed, you'll have to open up the connector and see if you can find what colour wires are attached to what pin, write it down, then strip off the other end (the cable end, cut it first to expose fresh wire) and solder away. I've no expereince with that type of headset or anything, but is the typical method I use daily at work for various fixes I do to cables and connectors.

thanks...I suck at soldering,so u think I could take this to a radio shop and get it fixed???...

They'd charge the snot outta yo ufor it, best to take the above suggestion and run with it. If no one can fix it, like I said, drop in the red & white trash can with my address on it........................ Lol, yes, you can either hire me for a small fee + shipping to do it (as long as I have a radio to test with, am sure it's a standard type plug for most radios), or you can give it away if you plan to trash it, or sell it cheap (to me)..........

Am pretty sure it's fixable, your pics are pretty good but not sure the actual everything unless I handle it. I'm an expert as far as soldering goes, but that job is a lot more than just melting 60/40 onto metal, it'll have to be properly strain reliefed to make it rugged as well.
