Fa-mas butplate
Sorry, this a repost I had put in the wrong section as Greylocks was so kind to point out to me.
Question about the fa-mas. I held one and I like it but I found that it didn't quite sit back far enough to be completely comfortable. I was wondering if the buttplate/stock can be extended a bit, such as putting in inserts or modifacations or something?

No reason why not. You'd have to create a custom buttplate because as far as I know, there is no aftermarket part like that.

ive never seen the two side by side, but im posative you could mod the p90 butt plate extender to fit work, with little effort.

Hmm, that might be something to look into. My buddy has a p90, don't think he has any extenders for it though.

You can get various slip-on recoil pads for common rifle stocks.. Can't say if it will fit the Famas.. It will have to go over the sling loops somehow,
Also, to even look down the sights of the famas, you have to rest your cheek quite a bit farther forward than an M16 variant. I dont see what getting your face farther away will accomplish.. And, "didn't quite sit back far enough" If its in your shoulder.. how much farther can it go? Gotta love that fringe look.. Let us know how it works out.
