Help, V2 gearbox wire ends keep breaking!
I bought a used CA V2 gearbox recently with broken connectors to the motor. I snipped them and reconnected brand new ends. I don't understand why the design of these guns are so stupid. As soon as you bend the connectors to connect to the motor they snap or begin to snap. How the heck do you prevent this from happening? I've gone through 6 connectors now and it seems impossible to install without breaking the connectors. I've looked into the Systema switch, but the ends are identical to the ones I'm using. Help please, is there a fix?
Thanks, Bryan |

One option is to just solder the wires onto the motor leads. I've done that in a few guns, especially ones where the contacts on the motor snapped off.
I use the little spade connectors from Canadian Tire, I crimp them on then strip off the red plastic insulation, put heatshrink on instead, then bend them. What I remember they only bend one way, if the get bent the other way they snap. |

If they're breaking right at the bend to the spade terminal, try soldering a fillet on the inside of the corner. A light solder fillet (say 1.5mm rad) could fix your problem.
