Do not upgrade that gun. As long as it works, keep it stock. Save your money for a better gun. I know it's not what you want to hear, but it IS what makes sense to do.

Don't get the BE, get the DE if it's available anywhere, if not invest on the SRC. They did some comparisons with the DE and the SRC in HK ... checkout username davestuff on Youtube.com

Grey I totally agree with you, if the China gun isn't a 100% Marui clone you're better off leaving it as it is, unless you have ub3r 1337 gunsmithing skills, which takes practise!

I also think you're probably better off with SRC's rendition of the XM8.

i should have mentionned that im on a small budget for that. i have only 225$ that i cant put on that, so imn gonna take the BE one and upgrade it later. I tottally understand what you mean Grey but i just cant affort it. If i had the money i whould go for a 500$ gun and have the quality of at least a TM, but i cant. If you tell me that the src one is the same price ill go it it then, but im sure its 200$ more than the BE one.

Your best option? Wait until you can afford it. There's no frustration in the world like having a gun that won't perform as well as everyone else's, or worse, breaks in the middle of a firefight.

Rule #1 when buying ANY AEG, china or not. If it doesn't have a metal gearbox it's not an AEG, it's a LPEG ... MPEG's have metal gearboxes.

Jeez they'll be having Jing Gong G36's in TWO weeks.

yeah a g36 is about 500 and you need another 250 for the kit. Either way, airsoft cant be on budget. Do you already have a primary? if this is a secondary id say go for it.

its gonna be my first, and i know its an lpeg. the point is that the PGB is exactly the same model as the TM metal GB on a g36c. im sure none of u did go to the link ive posted. reading that im gonna show why i think thats it is not so bad. ok so the gun itself will cost me exactly 217$, lets say 110$ for the metal GB(maybe a bit more but even then), so in total im gonna have paid 327$ for a gun with better internal than a stock TM, and what is the price for the *the cheapest AEG" that TM do... the famas at 400$... i think u get the point now. and for the gunsmitting skills i dont worry about that, im really good to build/modify things like that. Of course im not gonna try to mod the gun right out of the box(exept the flash hider that have a design flaw wich make the bbs hit it when getting out of the barrel).

The point is that for a gun like that; the costs and effort to try and upgrade anything is not worth it at all.

If it works, and it's all you can afford, keep it totally stock. Dont open it up, dont even try. The reason is that you are better off with a basic gun that works versus trying to do the impossible and having to toss money into repairs all the time. Parts are NOT cheap.

If it works, dont change anything.

Or, since this is still winter; you really should save your money, get age-verified, read the Classified section and with luck you can find a really good deal. There is no rush, right? This can wait a few months?

whoops i should have mentioned this earlier. i actually owned a upgraded BE Xm8! swatt13 owns it know. Ill post some pics in a bit. basically everything was BE, but all the internals were G36. It wasn't so bad, but was extremely disappointing. the scope was replaced with a real RDS though. ask him about it. also the guy yous hould be asking is Nabisco Lobstocity. he lives in PEI and is active on AAS like us. Hes a madman with upgrading LPEG. Also get tankdude on AAS to get you verified on ASC.

Also, Atlantic regions first big op is on April 1st so, hes only got a month and some left.
