good material for making a nice Torsion spring?
I'm going to try to make a Left Torsion spring for my pistol with the broken trigger spring. Does anyone know what type of metal wire I should use? And where to get some? I'm going for a nice heavy trigger pull as opposed to my current papercilp that makes a featherlight pull. I tried safety pins and they seem pretty good I just can't seem to find the right gague when I went to the hardware store to match it up with the saftety pin wires...

Go to a hobby store which carries model train or r/c airplane stuff. They've got many gauges of piano wire which also makes good spring wire. It's hard stuff which will damage most pliers. You'll want to use a dremel tool to cut it.

Thanks man, what gauge should I go for when making a normal spring that you find for triggers?

I have no idea. Bring your spring to the hobby shop and see what gauge is right for your spring. Wire is cheap (~$1 for a 3' length) so you can buy a range of diameters in case you don't get the first one right. Handy to have a range of wirestock anyways.
