Guarder Modstock Battery Mod
I'm interested in trying to fit a 9.6v battery in the guarder modstock without affecting the aesthetics of the stock. Is this possible? If someone has this stock. Could you please post measurements of the Diameter of the longer battery holding tubes and effective lenghts. Any info/help is appreciated, thanks.

I know, i'm not interested in purchasing a new stock as i already have the Guarder Mod Stock. In doing some research i think i have figured it out. Guarder claims their modstock can hold 3x CR123A batteries or 2x AA batteries. CR123A batteries have the dimensions; length: 34.5mm, diameter: 17.1mm. Which converts into 1.358in long and a diameter of 0.673 in. Going to cheapbatterypacks.com i have found the "IB1400" cells which have a lenght of 1.11in and a diameter of 0.65in. So i would be able to fit 3 of the "IB1400" cells on each side of the Modstock and atleast 2 more inside the buffer tube. Or 2 in each side of the modstock and 3 in the buffer tube. Either way i would be able to fit a battery of 9.6v 1400mah in the modstock. Im running a 1700mah 9.6v battery in my handguard right now and it seems to power my gun just fine for a full day and more worth of gaming. So the 1400mah cells seem acceptable to me. Now the challenge will be in drilling through to the modstock compartments and figuring out the wiring.
Edit: The reason im going to all this trouble is i eventually would like a RAS or MRP frontend.

I'm not sure if you can fit 9.6 in there. Ther isn't much space. I had both the forward armoury and guarder stocks. you might be able to fit a 8.4 in there but it's going to be a lot of modding. better to draw it out first.
