Does anyone know if theres replicas of the vltor vis rail system for airsoft? What would be the name of the company and where could i find it? Here is what the vltor one looks like.

They have it in both 10.5" as well as 14" versions in Black, OD and sand. Was just looking at it as well... pretty nifty system.

is it jsut me, or is the rail you want supposed to replace the entire upper reciever?

EDIT: I may be mistaken, but i thought airsoft recievers were different measuerments inside then real steel?

Yeah, that VLTOR system isn't just a rail. It's an entire one-piece upper receiver replacement.

There's no way you can get that real steel part to fit airsoft without extreme modifications to the upper receiver area.

Getting it in to the country my introduce a whole list of other issues that even airsoft retailers have no way of getting around.

im just curious but i thaught that geting a real steel uper receiver should be easy, 1 any one with a valid pal could buy it from any gunstore that would be willing to order it for you. and 2 this one im not sure about but on an ar type rifle i thaught the upper receiver was not concitered restricted, just the lower reciever?

although that still dosnt solve the part about making it fit airsoft.

the airsoft body is wider than real steel (except the ptw from systema, which is of exact dimension as real steel), so even if u get the real steel upper receiver, it wont fit with the lower airsoft receiver in width.

You may want to look into the Troy MRF rails. The rail looks a bit like the rail part of the VIS. Because I guess it was the main thing attracting you :P (That's what i'm going to put on my PTW... )
