The KJW Mk. 1 Carbine isn't an upgrade gun. Internals don't need to be upgraded considering that mine fired anywhere between 135 and 550 on difluoro/tetra duster, butane (eugh), and propane. There are no sling points, and therefore no good bipods (not that this gun is heavy enough to need steadying), and the wood stock can only really be attached via the grip pannels, so I don't even think that's remotely feasible.

I've seen a few with tapped barrels for silencers (Ie, MP5K silencers), and the 3/8" dovetail rail allows some scopes to be put on, but there's really not much out there.

You'll want to PM Danonymous on these boards, although I rarely see him around here anymore. He had a pretty highly upgraded MK1 Carbine and can likely tell you where to find parts and what to get. IIRC many of the same parts from the Marushin MK1 Assassin fit, as the KJW Carbine is essentially a clone with a longer barrel.

Of course, there's always the upgraded hop-up or rail adapter (here).

And there's also a tight-bore barrel available (here) - do a search for MK1 and it's the second item on the list. *edit: actually, that's not the tight-bore I was referring to- I seem to have misplaced that link...

I've seen some neat MK1s with wood stocks, longer barrels, etc. So while the gun itself isn't really a gun you can "upgrade" or modify much, it still has some neat options. And it's a very distinctive gun, IMHO. Of course, I'm biased.

http://www.teamblackjack.com/ttr/mk1vel.htm You could always do this. Its just a velocity Upgrade, everything else for the mk1 is a custom job.
