Piston Head screw size help
Hi,
I was wondering if anybody knew the screw size and the appropiate nut size for it. I plan to port my stock piston head and to get rid of the lead weight that secures the original piston screw. My goal is to make the piston light in order to reduce stress when the piston slams on the gearbox's front section. I used to have the right size screws, but due to my absense in the airsoft scene for awhile, I lost my spare screws and small parts. I was wondering if anybody knew the right screw size and nut. I prefer to change the original screw, since the threading on it doesnt fit nuts properly. I know I can just remove the piston head with screw and bring it to Home Depot, but I was wondering if somebody already knew the screw size. Cheers! |

A countersunk #6-32 should be fine for it. If you plan to take out the original mount in the rear, there's no reason to keep using the stock screw that holds the head on. Don't even bother with Home Depot, go to a machine shop or auto parts supply center (best bet would be to go to a fastener supply center.)
