SG1 - G3A3

Ok , I plan to buy an SG1 because that's what ressembles the most to the lovely G3A3. I'd want to make it look exactly like it. I tought about this :

Take out the cheekpiece and bipod.
Paint the handguard and stock with DuraCoat AUG Green paint.

Then will come a full metal body for it.

Anyone has other ideas ?? I never saw a G3A3 style handguard , if someone knows one , please let me know !

wouldn't be easer to start with a CA G33E http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwol...p?prodID=14401

Tm did make them at one point.
If you got the money you could use real parts.

You could...........find a person selling parts from a TM G3A3 & just purchase the handguard & stock off of them.

R.A.T. , G3's are 7.62 Nato, HK33's are 5.56 Nato.

yeah those are good ideas and I have heard good things about the CA33 but still , the handguard isn't the same and the CA33 is a bit smaller ( which probably is a good thing but less realist ).

Maybe i'll search a bit for real steel parts and also search for somebody selling TM G3A3's parts.

thanks

EDIT : Found a site that sells Real G3 parts , would those fit

Those parts should fit just fine. A tiny bit of filing may be required, but thats it.

actually , i just found about 5 sites where they sell real steel HK G3 parts.
I guess they would all fit on the SG1 and they are all cheap ( about 40$ maximum for the OD stock and handguard ). Real steel parts on airsoft = cool
8) :-D

BTW the HK33 (ca33e) is not much smaller than the sg1, just not the same caliber (receiver is shorter).
And what do you mean by less reallistic??? That rifle exist in real steel.

oh and i doubt that real steel g3a3 parts will fit without modifications.

I know it exists but it just isn't the same as my so-loved G3. Some people say the real steel handguard , stock and pistol grip would fit perfectly on the SG1, I guess i'll just have to know by myself by buying these furnitures ( they are cheap so who cares , it's worth it ) and if it needs modifications, I'll let my local doctor help me with this.

The pistol grip would really be an ass to fit on... being that it has to hold the motor...

Good luck though. Make sure to get us some pictures if it works.

I thing you mean the handle, or pistol grip.

Yeah, I think it's best to keep the stock one, or buy an airsoft version of an other model. The Real Steel one won't probably have enough room for a motor in it.

ok I guess I'll keep the pistol grip stock, it's not such a big deal. And for the stock , would there be any problem of making an hole in it to put the battery ?
