Actually my buddy has a Baikal 4.5mm NBB airgun so I'll be comparing the two. The WE does seem to be about the right size anyhow. I'm in the midst of it guys, just give me a few more days!

Hammer looks terribly wrong, slide also looks funny but this one still came out better than KWC or Gletcher version, especially if it's made from aluminum like WE TT33.

All will be revealed in the review. And yes I believe it is aluminum. WE Tech replied to someone asking about the materials used on a facebook that had pictures of the 654K before it was released. If I remember correctly WE Tech mentioned it was "made of an aluminum alloy".

Funny you mention the TT-33 I had it for a few days from one trade and traded it again a few days later. It was alright. Proportions were out of whack though.

Ah! Having Baikal on their page explains ugly hammer And I was thinking that WE finally came up with their own design. Baikal is basically a real pistol that was made to fire steel bbs, so if WE did good job making a copy than PMM should be good.
I had 3 different TT's, ended up keeping WE despite it's ugly hammer. WE is a clone of Hudson but unlike Hudson, this one actually works great It's not perfect but IMO definitely better field gun out of the box than the other 2.

I don't know what you mean. WE didn't make a clone of anything according to them this is their own design. The Baikal I mentioned is owned by a friend and is only going to be used as reference for dimensions.

One of the major differences between real pistol and Baikal is shape of a hammer. WE has it's hammer shaped after Baikal, not after real PMM. That's what got me thinking that WE copied some of Baikal's internal design.

Here this explains everything about the hammer. Its probably the Baikal IJ-70.
Looks sweet.

The MITs are just WE GBB pistols with trademarks. I was thinking of getting one of those.

Baikal and WE internals are completely different. The Baikals are NBB and use a standard type of airgun design, pretty much like the WG guns. The WE GBB 654K uses a loading nozzle with a piston cap/lid. Not to mention the mags are completely different.

The mags of the Baikals are part of the operation of the gun (I can't really explain it any better than that), the gas comes up and loops to behind the bb, expelling it out of the barrel.

The WE 654Ks are like any other GBB pistol. The hammer hits the flow valve, releasing gasses into the loading nozzle which fires the bb and also cycles the gun.
