Ordering a custom P90 sling from the States
Hey everyone - I'm plopping this in the newbie tank because this is probably a dumb question.
I'm going to order this thing soon from The Vest Guy: http://www.thevestguy.com/product/10132 My understanding is that usually when you order from the States (like with Evike or Airsoft GI), it's sent via UPS right to your door - I was wondering if anyone has had experience with The Vest Guy and if it might be possible for them to ship to a PO box instead, as the details of their shipping policies aren't located in their site's FAQ. Any help would be appreciated |

The Vest Guy ships with USPS, so it would be Canada Post delivering to your door/P.O. Box. I take it you have not gotten a response from sales@thevestguy.com yet. |

Glad you mentioned that, I am indeed waiting on a response from them and will post any info I get from them up on here.
If they do indeed ship via regular postal channels, that will be a relief! |

Wow!!! LOL I got one of those made by a member of this site years back!!!
I would suggest adding a bit of padding to the back of it for ur neck!

yeah that looks like it will be bad for your neck muscles. The gun side wrap is what's important, it will let you attach any standard sling to it.

I just made one and attach an MS2 replica to it. (The straps velcro to themselves and each other on the back side.)

I received a reply almost right away saying:
"Yes we use United States postal service for our shipping carrier which will ship to PO boxes " So, boom. Problem solved. Now I'm wondering about that strap, though. Can it ONLY wrap around your neck? I was under the impression that it could be adjusted and slung around under your armpit and across the side of your neck, traditional diagonal style. Can anyone who owns this sling (or knows someone who does) confirm exactly how modular it is? As a second option, I was also considering picking up one of these: http://www.airsoftatlanta.com/v/vspf...os/64516-2.jpg ...and attaching a CQB sling to it so that I may transition shoulders easily (unless transitioning shoulders works just fine with The Vest Guy sling?). |

Answered my own question, heh: P90 Sling - Single Point FN PS90 -PDW - YouTube
Looks like transitioning may be a bit difficult, though. |

I use this one: http://www.stitchsloft.com/loft/scre...-p-90-harness/
the harness really isn't shown in the photos, it just peeks out from the vest. But in the first 2 stargate shows you can see it wrapping around under the vest.. it wears like a manzier. I've hung my g36 off of it and it's pretty cool how much weight it can actually carry. But the price is a bit steep unless you're doing a stargate costume. :P

The one I use is alot like this one:
http://www.thevestguy.com/product/10...0-sg-tac-sling I hardly feel the gun at all and distributes the weight of the gun evenly. Works even with my Vest on. It's also great for the ambidextrous person such as myself. Only issue I have is that I cannot "stow" the gun anywhere. I can't sling it behind my back or anything. I either have to hold on to it or let it hang there and flop around. I recently ordered the drop leg holster from The Vest Guy and I wasn't impressed with their communications. I received no shipping confirmation and no response to any of my e-mails. Now that it's here (finally) the buckles aren't the best and they make noise when I walk.
