Reviews!?!?

Hey everyone! I'm just getting into airsoft and I've got a few questions I was hoping you all could help me with.

First off I've played a few games at the local indoor field in Winnipeg just renting equipment and loved it! So I've just started buying all my own gear and I'd like your opinion on the 2 guns I've bought.

My first gun is a G&G gr 16 cqw rush blowback. I've added a foregrip and red dot to it but that's it. Anyone know anything about this gun?

As for my sidearm I went with the KWC desert eagle (c02). Also anyone's opinion on this one would be appreciated.

Also I'm just in the process of ordering a few extra mags for each of my guns and some other gear and I was wondering what most people who play regularly use for head/face protection and where the best place to buy that would be.

And finally I'm looking to join a team that plays regularly in the Winnipeg and surrounding areas to join. If anyone knows of a team looking for an extra I'd love to hear from them. Thanks!

Sometimes CO2 pistols have too high FPS to be used as CQB weapons...

I guess the proper answer could be "Usually, reviews are read before the purchase is committed. After that, if the purchase proves to be wrong, it is too late."

The KWC Desert Eagle may be too powerful, but there are propane (green gas) mags for it. You'll need to chrono it to be sure. The pistol itself is all right. Not the best, being KWC, but if you wanted that badass Desert Eagle look, it was one of the only options beside Marui's one.

Typically one reads the review before dropping hundreds of dollars on a gun

Join the winnipeg airsoft page on facebook for links to outdoor games, fields, and teams

I wouldn't join a team just yet. Come out to a few ops and scims and see who you like.

I did read reviews for both guns but I'd prefer to talk to a real person who has actually used the gun.

And yeah I wanted a DE and couldn't really find many options so I went with the only thing I could find.

The specs on the DE says 400 fps. Anyone know the limit at XT?

see the problem with gas guns is that on really hot days, they shoot harder. so at 20C it may shoot 400 fps.. but on a 30C day it will put you over. Hell it can even swing that much from morning to afternoon.

I've seen 5 kwc DEs, not one of them shot under 400.

You may get propane magazines for it.

Will that drop the fps below 350?

Maybe. Propane is weaker than CO2, so it will drop the fps, but the exact number is unpredictable.
