Want to try 24h game

Would like to try a 24h game. Don't want to bring to much or not enough. Could any one help. I do have a 3 day back pack and familiar with camping.

bring more than you think you need... leave backups and spares in the car. If you run out, you go to the car.

Okay was not sure about going back to the vehicle. If that would be considered leaving the game and not being able to come back.that makes it easy now thanks.

I actually wanted to do a thread about this myself so im glad i came across this. I also want to get into the long milsim games. My biggest question is, does some fields have power, obv a battery can only last 4 hours and i dont want to buy 5 batterys unless i half to.

Depends who you ask, some people list out supplies for a week long camping trip, some people like me keep it pretty streamlined. This is based on what I personally have done at past games

regular gun, ammo, mags, batteries, etc

In your pack
Softshell jacket
NVG
extra clear glasses for night game
extra ammo
propane
2 IMP/MREs
3L of water
batteries
thermal shirt
mini towel
2-3 extra pairs of socks

Carrying on you
3L water
extra ammo if the game allows
1-2 meals (depending how long you plan to be detached from your ruck)
flashlight (usually weaponlight)
red kill light, kill rag
snacks (power bars, IMP peanut butter)
op essential things (map, compass, sextant, pixie dust, etc)
GOOD RADIO*
shemagh
And all your other regular gear

A long game is just that, a scrim that's really long. So really you just need extra food and water, for night you just need to stay warm. I never have time to cook, or pitch a tent or lay out a sleeping bag, undress, pack it all up in the morning. I'm on the go, ready to respond to a moment's notice! We're there for 24 hours, not a long camping trip lol
Sleep in your gear, wear a thermal shirt if you're cold, and always be ready to fight!

Most 24hr events have tight ammo restrictions, you'll learn to pick your shots and pro-long that battery.
Either that, or pick up a bigger, better battery for future events.

Re; spare weapon in the car... I personally lug one extra with me. Something small ideally, MP40 for example. Or I'll lug the spare STG, that way all the mags are with me and good to go.
Nothing breaks up the fun having to lug your butt back and forth to the car, especially for a 24hr OP. That's just me though.

Make sure you've got rain gear, and fit for such an event. Nothing sucks more then yourself giving out while all your gear is still good to go.

Do what Hollywood recommended and try a 12 hour game first. Finish the 12 hours and assess where your at then try a 24 hour game if the 12 hour one you found was no problem. Crawl, walk, run.

Bring garbage bags. Especially when you're going with team mates, you'll make lots of garbage. Don't litter the field because someone else will have to clean up after you. It's also good to put all your wet and dirty clothes and boots in for the car ride back.
