What type of Battery do I need

Hi, I just purchased my 1st AEG. I have been renting and borrowing for the past year. I picked up a ICS-51 SG-551 SWAT unit.

Of course it did not come with Battery/Charger. The Manual unfortunatley does not give specific battery to use.

Does any have any advice or know which battery would be best for this unit
Image shows style of connector.

Any help would be great , and if this thread is posted in wrong section , I do apologize.

depends on the build of the gun, if its a low fps gun a nimh or nicad is all you really "require" if its a fully upgraded gun shootinf high fps with a mosfet you could run a lipo type battery...soo please post more information on your gun if possible. such as motor type gear type ect ect

that connector is called a deans btw

I use an intellect brand 9.6v 1600 mAh stick type battery in my ICS SIG 551, it fits well and provides a decent rate of fire. You have deans connectors. I recommend you get a programable charger to get the best performance, e.g. Onyx 220.

Thanks for the replies so far and the style of connector !

Here is some more info

Currently shooting at 330 FPS
Motor Turbo 3000 middle pin motor (MC-128)
Version 3 gearbox ( steel bushings and gears )

It will fit nunchuck style battery with a lot of patience , Iv'e been told.
From what Iv'e seen on line - Stick style may be the best option.

I don't know enough about the different battery types ( Ni-cad, Ni-mah , Lithuim , and even mAH ratings and voltage )

If it's all stock with no upgrades;

This charger http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store..._GENUINE_.html

and this battery http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...SOFT_Pack.html

will do the trick for you. Alternatively you can also buy your stuff from Stealth/airsoftstore.ca and get it to you way faster than the 3 weeks it takes for shipping from Asia.
