How long for AV status to appear on site, been waiting 2 weeks?

I just have a quick question about the AV process. I gave in my info for Age Vitrification to a member here on July 23ed and I still have not gotten the status updated. In the AV forum it says it should take a few days...its been 2 weeks. I have been looking to buy a GBB Pistol, and would like to be able to play with it before the summer is over, but I am still waiting to get the status updated on my account. I contacted the AV'er a few days after we met and he said my info had been submitted. I continually read about how one should check the AV sections of the forum to purchase weapons and I am in dire need of a sidearm. If there is some sort of way to update me or something on this process that would be great!

Thanks,

Anthony

I've seen some go threw in 2 days, and others a month, they do the updates in batches.

Posts like these are a great way to get yourself pushed to the back of the queue.

Nah, just kidding. (or am I!? :O ) Your AV was submitted on the 27th, it'll get done in the next batch.

One of my friends had to wait over 3 months. But that was years ago. A few weeks is usually what it takes nowa days.

Hahah, very funny. Im just cracking a little beucase i have read that there are retailers in the AV section that do custom orders (looking at TM Pistols mostly) and its getting harder and harder to wait. I just want to buy a pistol so I have a backup weapon/side arm :kill: Its not fair that I still only have a spring loaded crossman pistol :banghead:....i know its sad

Maybe a contribution will speed the process up.....(kidding.....or am I?) lol

You messaged me about it and I responded back by telling you it was anywhere from 2 weeks to a month. In this case, it has not even been past two weeks yet. Rest assured, you are in the queue and we have not forgotten about you.

Patience.

Hi Anthony,

I don't want to go too far off topic here, but I hope you're still holding on.. Your AV will go through and I'm sure it'll be worth it. If you're looking to play, you could always attend games in your area and simply bring ID in case anyone doubts your age (and rent a GBB if you ask around).

I'll also add that the rush to play in late July and early August might be misplaced, I've been to a game every weekend in the last several weeks and it's been 30C+ out each and every time.

Nothin wrong with playing in the fall

I have already been to a few events including July 23ed at Defcon, and this past weekend at TTAC3 and Flag Raiders. The weather has been hot has hell, i can deff agree with that. I'm auctions to play now because during the last week of august I begin my graduate studies and I'm not sure how much free time I will have on my hands.

I believe they should give some age verifiers access to update peoples AV status. I totally agree with the AV process to ensure the safety and integrity of the hobby. Obviously there is not enough admins to process all the av request and therefore they are done in batches when they got the time to do so. For those rookies who took the time to go visit games and see an age verifier should be able to have there status updated in a timely matter. It was only a suggestion since I believe it would accelerate the av process and at the end will help out all retailers and have an even larger classified database.
We all want this hobby to grow.

Giving a whole bunch of people the power of "the button" is a bad idea. There have been Age Verifiers known to be bad and there is also no accountability.
