Not really a newbie but need battery help.
Ok, i want to get a new battery for my airsoft gun because the one i have now doesnt fire very fast, sorta between the fire rat of a 7.2v and 8.4v battery. Now i found these batteries on ebay.ca that look like they would work fine, look xactly like the batteries iv used in the past, just there not labelled intellect or anything, heres a link to the one i want.

To increase ROF you need higher Voltage, so taking another 8.4v won't change anything
Try a 9.6v or better yet a 11.1v LIPO, but make sure you gun can handle that much voltage... And make sure to read carefully about LIPOs before buying one. Tons of info on the forum here. A different gear set for your gearbox can increase your ROF as well, but will end up being much more expensive Hope it helps |

Also, be aware that raising the voltage can put more stress on your mechbox.
More stress = more maintenance and greater risk of damage. What's your current RPM and what are you aiming for?

Thanks for that input
Thanks for the input so far guys, but my main question wasnt really answered, will these batteries work as well as a normal airsoft battery, its the exact same size as a mini so i dont see why it wouldnt fit and why it wouldn't work. Also I have 2 8.4v. The one shoots at around the normal fire of a M4/M16 but the one i use now is a tiny bit slower, the small type is the one i use now, the old one was a large type, would that make a difference? But once again please tell me if the battery would work well.

A battery is just a power souce, as long as voltage is within range and the connector fits, there's no reason it wouldn't work.
mAh's rating needs to be decent so it last at least a game. You probably don't want anything below 1800. So to answer the question: if it fits in the gun and the connector is the same, yes it will work. |

Thanks again
Thanks multi. This battery is 2800mah for 14$ and the same connector, they also got 9.6v's on there so i suggest if u run ur gun off a 9.6v or 8.4v to go check it out. Just go to ebay.ca, type in airsoft battery, click lowest price first and ull find cheap batteries with HUGE mah's for like 14 or 13 bucks.
