air-soft Taurus 24/7 Spring-powered
hello everyone, im new here
and i hope this is in the right spot this is the bb im looking at getting, as from what i have seen in reviews so far, it is a good starter bb, no too pricy, and quite powerful considering its spring powered https://www.buyairsoft.ca/pistols/sp...urus-24-7.html now my question is besides bb's and safety goggles, is there anything else i will need to use this gun? when i was looking on the website, under "what you will need" it just said bb's, but when describing bb's, it also talked about batteries to power it, but the taurus 24/7 spring powered doesnt need batteries does it? and are there any other guns like this one that you would recommend? thanks for you help! *edit as i am new here, i do not have my age verified, although me saying im 19 likely wont make a difference also, this is for fun target practice at the cottage and stuff, nothing more Last edited by solipsism; July 5th, 2011 at 15:06.. |

Afraid that'll just end up being a waste of money dude. If you're actually looking to get involved in airsoft, that thing will be next to useless and laughable at most.
As for recommendations, anything thats generally over 200 dollars at the very least if you want something gamable, with that being said. You also have to be 18 years or older. |

If you want the taurus, get the CO2 version, its like 25 bucks more and a lot better. It's not a masterpiece sidearm by any means, but it shoots straight to a reasonable distance and fires semi automatic instead of having to pull the slide back between shots. For a starter pistol, you don't need anything fancier. Spend your money on your AEG or gear. Your sidearm won't see that much use so you can typically wait a while before sinking a couple hundred into a good GBB pistol.

Afraid you might not get much help with this issue as generally the rules of the forum state that members cannot assist anyone under 18 to obtain an airsoft gun. Unless you get age verified, you might not find a lot of help.
I will say that that might work O.K. if your just target shooting, if your looking to actually play a game of airsoft you will get destroyed. I would wait until you can afford a gun in the $300 range before playing competitively. Also, if you do plan on target shooting, don't do so unless you live in an area that has no by-laws regarding the discharge of a firearm or on a piece of private property with a lot of acreage. |

Get a Pellet gun they are far more accurate than airsoft guns for target shooting.
