KJW HiCapa (KP05) not firing
** RESOLVED **
Hammer assembly didn't have enough lubrication in it, and one of the slide "sears" that helps the pin to drop back was catching. A few (40-50) manual cycles smoothed out the burrs in the assembly. I'll put this down as a learning experience - airsoft guns requires more TLC out of the box than real steel. ************* The pistol will not fire with a fully charged magazine. The pistol is new and was test-fired before I received it from the purchaser. As I didn't have a propane adapter, I couldn't actually test-fire it until game day. Before game day I did dry-fire the pistol a few times to evaluate the trigger pull, and half-cocked the hammer. Problem: the pistol, with a full propane charge and after racking the slide, will not fire. Pulling the trigger results in the hammer dropping but no actual discharge. Behaviour is the same as if I was dry-firing. Field Inspection: One of the folks at the game checked out the pistol's lower receiver, taking note of the firing pin's position against the magazine's gas valve. He noted that the pin appeared to sit at rest just above the actual valve button. The magazine is the correct type for this pistol and locks into place as spec'ed. Home Inspection: I noticed that the firing pin does not appear to move when I pull back the hammer or dry-fire it. The pin has very little play. I assume that the pin is suppose to pull back with the hammer and slam forward when the hammer drops onto the gas valve to complete the firing cycle, but this is not occurring. As already stated, the pin appears to ride just above the valve button. Question: Is this potentially a misaligned/stuck part, possibly requiring the hammer assembly to be disassembled to fix? Thanks in advance.

Can't fix my own guns. Willing to fix yours.

are you racking the slide or just cocking hte hammer, on certain guns the slide needs to trip a lever on hte frame before the knocker will seat in hte proper location
