Snipers
Hey guys I've been looking at getting a sniper rifle to add to my collection but I don't know which one to get
The Well L96 is my first choice. I like the power but I have heard it has not great accuracy for it's long barrel and hop up issues to The Vsr 10 is the other one, not as powerful but I ve heard they re really accurate and lots of other good stuff I m not probably going to be upgrading it so I wanna know which is best stock. I would like to buy from buyairsoft at best. And for everyone I already own 2aeg's so I now want a sniper rifle The last one, is a little different, it's more of a side offer, the 702 custom sniper rifle, it shoots faster than the both and its built with a vsr 10 platform so it should be more accurate and reliable than the Well (from what I've heard) Any help would be great thanks. If your not using it, WELL L96 or whatever chinese garbage passes for an airsoft gun.
If your going to be using it seriously in a game, tokyo marui VSR-10. And you will absolutely be upgrading it, no ifs ands or buts. The difference in performance between an upgraded and stock sniper rifle is too enormous to not upgrade it. |

Case in point my TSD. I paid $140 for it with a scope, trigger sear broke so that needed replacing... had to buy a whole new trigger set for it because the reinforced ones wern't available. Worked for part of a game than the piston got a flat spot on it. Had to replace that with a metal one. Worked for a bit than the trigger sear got worn down because of the new piston. Had to replace that with a PDI or deep fire I forget. THAN the fricking hop up broke *Arm that pushes down on the bucking carrier* no where on earth seems to sell that piece so I had to buy an "upgrade kit" for $50 that happened to come with the right part. OH and my sling mounts are broken and I have had to modify both thread holes for the body bolts as they have stripped out. My bipod doesn't stay on anymore because that screw stripped out as well in the middle of a game. OH! And the safety has broken off once because of the slam fire issue that the bolt presented me. So in total we have gun $140 trigger $50 Piston/spring set $40 Trigger sear $50 Upgrade kit for hop up $50 Time and effort trying to keep it running... about 5 hours so $330 total... and these are just things to keep it running not real upgrades... I hate this gun sometimes haha. Atleast the scope hasn't stopped working but thats a bushnell haha. Last edited by Dart; May 13th, 2011 at 14:02.. |

Don't rule out a tanaka m700 aics or other variant. It's gas and will take some coin to build it into a 100% reliable platform, but when it is...it's tight.

I've heard mostly good things about the Echo 1 M28, but it'll need an hour or so of tinkering to make it reliable enough to be gameworthy.

Oh we do hate you, just never felt like wasting the time to give you a user title :P

no stock BA rifle will be usefull in a game, least not one that ive used, some of the clones will be okay till they fail after a few dozen shots but after 500$ p[lus in upgrades they shoot okay, but still a clone base will be lacking due to the crappy tolerances your shots will be less consistant, just shot my nearly full PSS10 upgraded TSD SD700 (baisicly the well MB03) it shoots far as all hell but its a lil hit or miss some days lol
good luck at anyrate, if you can love and become decent at sniping with a POS BA by the time you get it running good you will enjoy it all the more

I'm probably going to use it pretty seriously but I don't want a gas gun, but yeah okay I think I most likely will be upgrading it so I need to know which one everyone prefers. Another thing is that I noticed th l96 is very heavy, which I don't really like

Get used to it. Sniper rifles are notoriously more heavy. If it's too heavy to be used, you need to grow musles.
