which gun should i choose?
Hi,
I'm planning to start playing airsoft very soon. And i will buy my first airsoft very soon too. What kind of gun should i choose to start? AEG? Bolt Action? I plan to buy either the Well l96 or a VSR-10 (crappy) clone. But some people recommend total newbies to buy an AEG... Should I buy an AEG to start? Or should I buy a sniper? BTW, I also have great difficulty finding a good Canadian dealer... BuyAirsoft.ca is the only website i found. |

There are many Canadian retailers in Canada. Including this website itself which hosts many private retailers as well as its own private buy and sell section. All you need to access those is to complete this website age verification processes where if you are or over the age of 18 all you have to do is meet with an ASC verifier rep to confirm your age.
I wish I could help you with your issue in regards to which you should purchase. The only thing I can really say is that I agree with the idea to start with an AEG. What AEG is entirely up to you. There must be a gun out there you like the look of or a certain country's military you would like to replicate. Take that information and start your research from there. There are thousands and thousands or reviews of different airsoft guns and brands online. PS. Moving this thread to the newbie tank.

Go ahead, buy a bolt action rifle. See how long you enjoy that for.
The two you listed are peices of shit, just get an AEG. |

Honestly, after buying many clones, I think you'd be much happier if you saved up a bit longer and got a mid-upper range gun (CA, TM, G&G, etc). I just brought a G&G f2000, and I freaking love the thing, and I don't have to worry about it blowing up like my scar would have (dboys).

Can anyone recommend me a good AEG that cost less than 300 bucks?

I can recommend many AEG's over 300.
Save up, its not going to kill you to wait an extra paycheque or two. Keep in mind, the more you cheap out on an airsoft gun, you exchange 'convenience of cost' for quality. With airsoft guns, it can be a very, very stark difference. Be careful and mind what you buy, don't buy something because it happens to be within a low budget and deems itself to be some '400 fps metal gears gun'. People spend the extra dollar for quality for a reason. |

I thought you stopped adding 1/2's to your age once you hit about 8?

I shall teach you what to do until then:
1: Read the FAQs 2: Read some more of the FAQs 3: Read the FAQs again (You'll surely miss something) 4: Use the search tools (Which you should have done in the first place) 5: Get AV'ed when you are 18 6: Search through the classifieds and AV retailer section 7: In the meantime you can browse the gear section for a bdu and a vest 8: Choose a gun 9: Buy the chosen gun 10: Attend a game And most important of all....Have fun! |
