AUG & M14 Hop-up

I was looking for a new hop-up unit for my AUG, but couldn't find any on a site that I'm buying other things. So I looked at them all and saw the M14 hop-up looks exactly the same. Though just cause the picture looks the same, that doesn't mean crap. Also, for silicone lube safe for the hop-up is that "3 in 1 Silicone Spray" safe for it? I read other people say yea and that they have. It does say on the can "Contains Petroleum Distillates".

I wouldn't use anything that says "Contains Petroleum Distillates" on any rubber parts like hopup.

I remember threads in the past dealing specifically with the CT 3-in-1 silicone oil spray. It was decided that it is NOT suitable for airsoft products. You need to purchase 100% pure silicone oil.

'tis true, but the risk of contamination from one surface to a rubber surface make purchasing 100% silicone oil the best route to take.

...So... What's the difference between a M14 and AUG hop-up?
