shot counter alternatives?
I have been curious about this for a short while now. I know there is xcortech x3300w is one hell of a nice system for counting my shots while playing. The chrono is a big bonus as I can use it during the game OR while I am teching my guns.
So the golden question is, if there are any other alternatives that do the same thing WITHOUT me doing the build. If you ever seen a x3300w, does it worth the 150$CAD or not? keep in mind the chrono function for home tech usage. |

I'm wondering if he means the actuall shot counter not so much just checking the RPS/RPM.

As I am being super cheap, I am trying to figure out a way to calculate my gun FPS with a budget of 10$. so far I have tried shooting at objects recording the sound and calculating the time difference of hits but little success. If I end up buying x3300w then I won't be worried with doing fps calculations. It will be a bonus for me. |

Considering your goals it sounds like a chrono is your best bet.

Shot counters aren't all that useful. If you want a chronograph get a dedicated unit. I picked up an xcortech 3200 on ali-express for $65 Canadian shipped to my door.

Calculating FPS with anything but a chronograph will get you very skewed answers. If you try to calculate it using sound, your answer will be WAY off because BB's fly at about 1/3rd the speed of sound. By the time the sound of gunfire is registered by the microphone, the BB will have already traveled a significant distance. Also, if your gun is electric, it will be hard to know at exactly what point the BB was fired by looking at sound, since the sound of the motor spinning will probably be what gets registered. If you try to calculate FPS by shooting at targets at a distance, the BB will have slowed enough to skew your calculation for muzzle velocity way down.
Definitely get a chrono for measuring velocity. Last edited by Handsonic; April 14th, 2016 at 06:18.. |

There's also G&G's new M.I.T. unit. Chrono, Tracer, Shot counter all built into one. Pricey though. CDN MSRP is $250.
