Full Face Mesh Mask
So this semi local airsoft store called Warcraft Games is trying to get a bunch of mesh face protection, and one of the items they're looking at getting into the country is one of these
http://warcraftgames.ca/airsoft-acce...praetorian.jpg For those of you who watch Scout the doggies videos, you might of seen one of the guys wearing one, in one of the videos. So my question is has anyone tried them on before? I'm wondering how comfy they are to wear, if at all? How the visibility is? Is it hard to breathe in it? How's the fit? Is it loose/tight? |

http://www.acmgear.com/product_info....roducts_id=924 For me, these Black bear Airsoft versions are better than original, not only for price difference, but in quality too.
Made a review of the Stalker model clone, have a look http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forum...owtopic=190312 |

Not sure what you are talking in terms of quality, but the Chinese clone masks are definitely NOT the same quality as the original Brassguard masks. They are much thinner metal and the glue is not as durable.
That said, even though the Brassguard is a much better mask, the Chinese clone masks work very well for airsoft. It's sort of like needing a car to go to work - a Mercedes is nice, but a Hyundai will do just fine. I have the original Stalker and Assassin masks, as well as the Chinese masks. The Chinese masks do take some damage when hit from a close range (dents or paint chips) but for $13 USD per mask, you could almost consider them disposable. Here is the Assassin mask, which I like better than the Praetorian because you wear goggles over it. I love to use this for CQB because it's full face but doesn't retain heat. I like the half-mask Stalker or Chinese masks (Chinese one here) when I have a helmet on. I just need to modify the mask to let the chinstrap fit without pushing the mask upwards. |

Hey Eagle, Am I gonna be seeing you at Battle of the Bulge on the 5th? And yes, as it comes to the chinese half masks, I bought three ;]

Yes, ACM branded masks are pretty low quality, but, these are not "ACM quality masks", in fact, after having compared them and discussed with owners of the ACM(TMC), BBA and Russian original, we all agreed that BBA stalker clone was sturdier and more comfortable than the other two.
Yes, the lower quality ACM/TMC may work for airsoft too, but you dont put a price to your eyes, knees... I prefer to play safe in CQB fields and protect my lowerface(dentists are quite expensive) from point blanck high ROF hosers. Your choice PD: theres a video in the review, not mine though, but the stress test is... enlightening |
