Right now, the only "issued" weapon of choice JSDF use are Type 89s, atleast that's the only gun made for the Airsoft world, however their Special Forces unit use a lot more western influenced weapons in their arsenal like M4 Sopmods

they do use type 64 for training too
but most of their small/big weapons are from american and european projects made directly under licence by japanese factories

Looks amazing man. Once I get my Tanaka Sig P220, I will post my JGSDF gears up :P
By the way, I think they still do use Type 64 right now. As for the replica, I think Tops made that rifle. Except from what I heard, they only made several hundred of them and discontinued long time ago. |
