Which shade of krylon black to use?

Ive been wanting to paint my gun for awhile but im not sure which shade of paint to use. Several threads say krylon matte black and someone recommended krylon satin black. What do you recommend?

Satin=shiny, so not that... I thought Krylon came in flat and ultra flat? Either of those should work.

I'd have to agree, but don't use barbie stickers... cause that's just gay.

I bought Krylon flat (non camo) and it came out shiny today.. I figure someone messed with the caps or something. Best bet is to get the Krylon Camo Ultra flat.

Krylon Camo Black. Great paint. Cheap, and easy to find.

no non camo flat krylon will always be shiney, despite what the cap shows, that tricked me too, sand, and put a matte finisher on it and it'll be better, or just sand and get camo flat black, that's the easier choice

Shelled is correct, this should be the one you are looking for.

Yeah I had thought about putting a matte coat on it. I was thinking it might end up somewhere between the shiny look and the ultra flat..

So yeah, to the OP, just get the camo ultra flat and save yourself a headache.

It also comes in OD Green, Tan, and Brown, for all of your painting needs. This was done with only Krylon Camo spray cans:
