There's a few good options. Anything KWA is going to be good, the ASG czpo9 is good, and then there's my favorite gun currently, the Elite Force Glock 17. I love that thing...

I got a Tokyo Marui HK45 Tactical last year and it’s working famously. It’s been awhile since a pistol has impressed me this much. There are many good ones out there.

  • One; it needs to be something you like
  • Two: spare mags for it must be easy to order
  • Three: Holsters must be easy to find and available in a variety of styles

Right? TM is good, but not the be all end all of airsoft handguns...
I have a Elite Force Glock as well, I'd highly recommend it. If you're looking to buy one OP I got mine here, it's one of the few places that still have it in stock.

I wouldn't mind getting an Elite Force Glock 17. My queston is to thosewho own the EF Glock 17 is does it fit in molded holsters like the Safariand 6360 duty yolster, and the Blackhawk Serpa level 3 duty holster, or would I have to get the above mentioned holster for the Glock 21 to fit the EF Glock 17.

Well folks who've been around the block gain this weird thing called experience.

So we've all seen the new kid post raving about some off brand pistol being the greatest thing ever when the poster either has no pistol experience to compare their gun against or they're comparing it to their old clearsoft springer. Probably thousands of posts like that and always ending in disappointment and sadness when the bargain gun falls apart.

Tokyo Marui is well know for being easy to find, easy to find mags for, easy to find replacement parts for, for shooting extremely well out of the box and being long lasting. The plastic slide is a bit of a red herring since most of the other Glocks that come with a "metal" slide out of the box are fairly junky.

Especially for a new player with limited resources spending nearly as much as a TM pistol on some off brand version is a huge mistake. When that pistol stops working when it's a few months old and you can't fix or replace it you're out.

What do you want your sidearm to do?
Do you want it to be a realistic showpiece?
Do you want to have really hard blowback?
Or do you want it to be efficient so it works every time you pull it out?

Everyone always harps on plastic slides as if it's some sort of major detriment to a pistol.
It's not the upper receiver of an M16, it's just the slide of a pistol. They are inherently engineered to be tough to begin with (some exceptions, like the 5-7). Actual plastic slide failures are quite rare. Yes, everyone has heard of them, but consider just how many of them are out there.
UPSIDE to plastic slide? Efficiency. So much efficiency. They're usually less than HALF the weight of stock metal slides, and still significantly lighter than many aftermarket aluminum/titanium slides.

So what does that mean?
You can put a 150% recoil spring guide in there and still get 50 shots per mag in the right conditions.
The slide is lighter, therefore accelerates faster, bringing your cycle speed right down.
Pair that with a lightweight blowback unit that cuts half the weight off the original unit, even FASTER cycle time.

Best part? The faster slide movement also translates to more momentum, that means more recoil.

After having owned metal and plastic slide pistols, I'm never going back to metal slides. No point.

A note here for some of the newer folks on a Glock airsoft Pistol and living in the USA.

For years US Customs would snatch up anything Glock shaped. Tape or putty over the trades didn't matter. That lead to the weird glockish pistols from folks like KWA or WE because their was a lot of demand.

We never had that issue here so we could still see the TMs, or KSC, and what have you.

This new licensed version is huge for the USA but I haven't seen any real world comparo's yet vs. the gold standards in the genre. They could be nearly ungameable and still capture a massive captive audience.

4.3 Tm highcap. Its the best stock pistol in my opinion over the 5.1, i hear the hk45 is pretty awesome too. I choose the highcap because of part availability, stock performance and customization factor.
