Dytac Rail systems any good? (M-lok recommendations?)

I'm interested in hearing from people who've installed them on their rifles. The G-Style rails on ehobbyasia look pretty hot, but reviews for some models note that there can be problems with fitment and having to modify or grind them down at certain points to fit. One reviewer also noted on one of the keymod rails that the metal dings easily?

What's the quality of dytac rails? How good is the metal? Durability? What M-lok rails have you had success with?

They are ok, I had a SMR back in the day... was alright. I appreciated my PTS a lot more. (Fortis Rev, and friends CMR)

If you want a 416 rail... go with azimuth.

I have a Dytac G Style SMR installed on my VFC 416 and I would say it's average quality. I didn't experience any fitment issues since I did a lot of research to make sure I got the right rail (I did have to grind off the sling attachment points at the front but that is required anyways).

Some things to be aware of:
- The edges of the cuts on the rail can be sharp (here is a review from another thread)
- The metal is rather soft and it is prone to dings

Dytac QC is utterly horrendous.

The one I got was not leveled properly for one of the milling procedures. It resulted in the front of the top rail being slanted as well as the receiver alignment notch.

They also sometimes forget to de-burr, and occasionally send a rail with the wrong inner diametre.

I'm looking for just a regular m4 rail with m-lok. I'm assuming the 416 rails would not fit a m4.

That's too bad to hear. Seems like it's better to stay away and shop for something else?

I avoid pretty much all airsoft rails and only use RS. I've just seen too much bullshit with airsoft quality rails, especially from ACM and lower end HK brands like DyTac.

If you're looking for a good Geissele replica, order the HAO rail.

Height over bore is different.

Midwest rails dont break the bank and are m-lok. I think CTC has them in stock currently. The new Gen3 "torque bar" does require slight irreversible modifications to your receiver though.

If that's out of your price range, try the Strike Industries rails. Made in Taiwan and as far as I know, in the same factory as Madbull. So I'm not sure if that speaks on the quality of Madbull rails or lack thereof for Strike, but it's a viable option in terms of fitment and value.

Is that where you ordered from for this build? 10 inch?
What kind of "modifications" we talking about?

The Midwest rails look pretty good, but RS prices will mean saving a bit before pulling the trigger on a set.

Too bad HAO doesn't make replicas of the non-HK Geissele rails...

If you are putting this on a VFC, you will have to shave down the sides of the upper receiver immediately below the barrel nut, on each side of the takedown pin for clearance for the torque plate.
Some RS billet receivers have this issue so it's not strictly an airsoft thing.

Glad I got myself a shiny new dremmel! Thanks Steve! Not sure which rail I want to go with yet. Although it's not m-lok the PTS centurion arms handguard also looks nice, especially given its price.
