WE M4 GBBR version 2 mags? What's the dif?

Hey guys,

What's the difference between WE M4 GBBR version 1 mags and version 2. I see the upgrade kit on WGC, but it doesn't give me any description. Looks to me like the gas resevoir design is different, but is it worth it?

Back on track.

V1 uses a big square gasket that covers the whole back side and a curved cover with multiple screws Prone to leaking and while fixable it will leak again at the most frustrating time.

V2 uses and O-ring and a 2 piece (like a TM 226 with a single long screw holding it all together. So less likely to let you down.

To contrast:

Gen 1: Broke when I hit one magazine against the other in a sloppy tac reload

Gen 2: Survived being tossed out of a rifle onto concrete 4 feet up and 4 feet away

(I'd advise not trying this out and benefiting from my stupidity)

Does that mean a Gen 2 mag will fit in my old WE GBB M4 that uses Gen 1 mags? Are they interchangeable?

Thanks
