Source for Patrol Caps

Hey,
I was just wondering if anyone had a good source for patrol caps. I've been able to get boonie hats pretty easity, but these have been a bit harder.
Anyone have a favorite place? Online prefered since it's easier, but if you have a good place in Calgary, that might work too.

Any opinions on brands? I've seen propper and tru-spec. One of them had the seam at the front and the other did not. Which is which?

Thanks

They will likely carry it in od and black but not woodland

The really cool guys put their hats on backwards. So the seam shows at the front.
Normally, this is the place I'd tell you that I sold Patrol caps Boonie hats and a ton of other head gear but, I'm not so sure right now.
Cheers

I've found places in the States, but trying to find a place in Canada to save on shipping.

Armyissue:
I remembered someone had a kit shop, but i couldn't remember.
Just checked your site.
What's the big difference between the new and old style gi caps?

Yeah, well, i'm not that cool and like to wear my caps on forward, without showing the seam. Just can't pull it off.

There's a CADPAT patrol cap at www.wheelers.ca . It looks pretty good.

Go to Products, it should be bottom right.

The best is the issued American patrol caps, they're ripstop and last a damn long time. After that I'd have to pick Propper. I don't know about Tru-spec, but Mil-spex caps are absolute shit. Have a look at Dave's (they don't have any listed but they've got plenty in store, so send an email) and CPGear.

The ripstop patrol caps are the summer/light weight ones. Theres also a 50/50 NYCO Twill winter/heavyweight one.

I saw the ranger joes link and that cap looks like a Fatague Cap. And No I'm not on drugs I just don't know what it was OK. I can't have all the answers in the world...

The issued ones. How do you tell whether it is the right type or not?

First off, it'll have the nice ripstop (you can't see the criss-cross pattern from a distance). Next it has a nice thick fabric that is very durable in the field. Then the vertical seams are centered on the front and back. Lastly, the brim is good and stiff and will hold a nice curve for a long time.
If all else fails, look at the tag, if it looks shiny new and poorly sewn in, it's poo.

*additional* The winter caps are almost the same pattern (heavier fabric of course) and have a flap surrounding the back/sides that reaches past the cap about an inch and a half when folded down. It has a wool or fleecy liner on it to keep your ears warm.
