I'd first offer that your friend invest in UnderArmour so they keep cool & pair it up with a CamelPack so they stay hydrated.
Next bit, A vest for your friend, I'd advise just a chest rig for them, something that only has a few straps holding it on. Something like this. http://sealsactiongear.com/catalog/s...?idProduct=428 |

If your friend has health problems, be sure to figure out exactly what, and why. Many games are in fairly remote areas. Health issues that are only annoying in a city can turn serious or deadly elsewhere.
A hot vest can be replaced by a BDU shirt that has lots of pockets. |

A mesh vest such as the tactical tailor modular is a good starting point. You can also consider a chest rig such as the TT MAV, Eagle chest rig... Since your buddy is just getting into the game, I would not recommend anything too too expensive.
On the other hand BC_K is right on the money. Underarmour does the trick for regulating body temperature and a hydration bladder is a must for keeping yourself hydrated. |

Drop-leg or hip/belt mounted stuff. Webbing might do your thing too. There's also a smallish chest rig.

As well, if you want that type of rig you should bet the blackhawk copy of it, the eagle one only holds 4 mags, the blackhawk one holds 8 rifle mags. |

I have a CP Gear mesh vest. Great for keeping cool on those hot sunny days.

Well, it depends Yuxi. If they actually have some in stock (particular keyword here), then I guess it's not too far off the $62.00 USD it fetches everywhere else ($62 * 20% currency conversion * 7% taxes [dam lucky Alberta people ] = ~$80. Coming from State-side, I'd guesstimate a week at the best, likely two with payment processing and all. If SAG has it in stock, then they could priority it.
Again. This is if "in stock". YMMV. I'll go with Yuxi though, get the BHI one. Those shoulder straps look like they came out of a car.

If they are not looking for a specific look, I found that hiking/photography vest keeps you fairly cool in the summer, plus they are light and not bulky. Mine fits about 10 m4 mags and other junk easily.

Try the TT modular mesh vest. It utilizes buckles to close it. Zippers as a way of closing up a tac vest suck.

I'd still suggest a webbing setup. The SAAV doesn't cover too much of the chest, I find. Just cut away some of the unneccesarry pockets. Those things are designed to carry player pianos and elephants.
