Im thinking on buying a second 416;

One to build as a CQB gun with the Surefire 910 taclight grip (arrives friday), aimpoint (already here), keep the short barrel, and drop it down to 300fps.

The other add the barrel extender, keep the 400fps, add an ACOG or M4 scope, bipod, and VN style mags.

What do you think? lol

Just a little update on the velocity status of my 416.

I've put about 1000 rounds through it so far. Today, I chronied it again, and my velocity averaged 387.2 fps over 10 shots, with a deviance of 5.5 fps for all my samples. The spring has settled down significantly, it would appear. And this is with a longer inner barrel than when I had previously chronied it, so technically, the longer barrel should increase the velocity marginally. Looks like the spring settles quite nicely in this gun.

I'm hopping mine still stays <400 fps once I get the 20' barrels (inner being a tightbore) might have to downgrade the spring

hey guys !! Look what finally arrived at my door today !! I'm really impressed with the quality, it is much better than i was expecting, the only qualm I have with it is that JG didn't bother tithing any of the screws or hex head bolts. I had to go through everything and re tighten ! ALL in ALL I'm very happy !!

I heard 416's were out of production, that would mean the price's would jump higher. If this is true, how much has it actually risen in price? Dad is working on getting verified so he can buy from shootsoft.ca?

And If I'm wrong, excuse me, It's just what I've read on the forums lately.

Hurricane has a kit, but aquiring one will cost you two arms, two legs, an asshole and 3 testicles. The quality is very nice but at the same time the kit is nearly 3 times the cost of the gun US.

On WGC you can find the body only... it will only cost you your wife, kids, two testicules and your kidneys...
