I took my HK to the local hobby store here where a friend works to show him the stock where the batteries go. He is says it is a really tight fit and is looking into ways to create a battery pack for me that will fit and not get stuck.

Another friend who works there suggested a use a dremel tool on the stock to create some extra room for the battery.

Any suggestions/ideas other then buying a new stock? I may do that latter, just not right now.

Just peel the clear tubing off and slip on some lube. That should go in smoothly.

I didn't even think of using some sort of lubrication.

I'll keep that in mind. Thanks!

I'll check it out again when I have time to confirm.
Gas guns are WAY different when it comes to FPS differences between weights. They aren't affected as much. For example, my P229 fires 270 on .2's, and 260-ish on .28's. In an AEG, the system is steady, there is always the same amount of air pushing the BB. In a gas pistol, with heavier weights the BB in in the barrel for a longer time, allowing for more gas expansion and more energy transferred to the BB. Hence why I only shoot 10 FPS difference between .2's and .28's on my 229. Make sense?

You should be able to use any V2 gearbox.

That makes sense. I'll try running my 416 thru my chrony with .2s, .25, and .28s tonight to try to gauge the difference.

Okay guys, I fielded my JG HK416 yesterday and...

First, Prometheus Non-Liner MS100SP won't give you a 350fps with 0.20g BBs. It gave me ~365fps.

Second, I broke my hopup chamber and I would like to know which replacement should I get...

Third, anyone here knows how to highlight the trademarks? I really dislike the yellow/brownish color of the original trademarks. Note that trademarks are not engraved.

Thanks!

A TM hopup should replace that easily. As for the trades, I'm not sure. I too would like to whiten them somewhat, but they're raised rather than engraved, so my regular white crayon trick won't work.

I'm quite new to the hop-up system... I know what it does but I don't know more...

I would like to know how come my hopup chamber is seperate in two pieces while every hopup chamber I see on the internet is a one piece hop-up chamber... Like this one :

Thanks for your help!

The stock Toyko Marui unit is a 2-piece unit. The JG hopup is a copy of the TM. If you're looking to replace your broken part, this is what you need to get - the TM replacement part.

The ones you're finding are 1-piece metal. These are necessary for metal bodies. I believe you can install it into a plastic body too. I've never done this myself, so please someone correct me if I'm wrong here. If you install once of these, I think all that needs to be done it to remove the bottom of the stock 2-piece hopup unit from inside your gun's body right now.

Ideally, if what I said above does indeed work on plastic guns, then that would be the better option, as metal will be much more durable than plastic.

If I can replace my two plastics pieces with one metal hop-up chamber I'll be happy...

I found a simple way to reduce wobble in the stock of our JG HK416... It is not perfect, but It costs 0$.

Simply put rubber tape (electrical tape) on each side of the "stock guide" like this :

(do the same on the other side)

... simply put the stock back in. The stock clearly feel stronger.

Hope it helps!

A RAS FIX mount like the one on the top HK in this pic will cure any front end play.

Nice guns there, Jugglez... They yours?

As for wobble, I have none in my RIS or buttstock. My buttstock feels pretty solid, although the buffer tube has a little wobble, but I'm sure that's because the main bolt is loose. One thing I noticed on both my JG guns is that they needed pretty much any and every bolt tightened up out of the box. I suspect that's the case for the buffer tube as well.

One of these days when I'm not busy, I'll have to tighten that...
