Have you checked out the Manitoba Airsoft Association forum? You might be able to get more attnetion to your field on there.
I'm actually in the process of getting together a Vietnam era kit, probably SOG/LRRP. |

I think you'll be able to drum up a good deal of interest for this.
mb-airsoft.com for the MAA and http://www.operationcoldfront.com/ for MOUT/ Wolfpack You can also talk to people on both sites about the logistics of running large/ regular games if you don't already have that experience. It will be great to have another field to play at, especially if the theme/ dress code is enforced (at least for a few games in the season). It may take a while before enough players have plausible Vietnam kit put together en masse, but I know of a few different people who have been hemming and hawing about doing it, and this may put them over the edge towards finally getting some loadouts done. I for one will gladly wear sandals in the bush and scream all the threats and obscenities I learned from Battlefield: Vietnam. |

We used to run Vietnam games all the time in Manitoba we did both grunt and LRRP games. This was from Operation Green Heat. LRRP team crash landed at night and had to make it through hostile territory to a new LZ to be extracted at first light. We made it to the LZ, it was an overcast night with light drizzle so you couldn't even see your hand in front of your face with VC everywhere looking for the team and lots of close calls.
LRRP team in Manitoba from 2005. 5 man LRRP team with kit carson scout before the mission with the chopper crash There are still a few of us Nam guys around who play every so often.

Ya I gotta make a new account on the MAA and get verified to see who all is interested. Also if anyone has any questions feel free to PM me.
some more info- -we use a lot of fireworks for pyro and C4 -U.S. uniforms are tigerstripe/ERDL/black -NVA is Khaki/green and VC is pretty much whatever you got thats dark and looks at least close to period correct -last summer we had a game where SOG had to hold their camp through the night till sunrise. it was almost pitch black and when you were in the foxhole and the flare went off sometimes there were 2 or 3 dinks 6 feet away in front of you -I have a lot of kit and guns so if your needing to borrow or buy some stuff or just want some info I might be able to help you out |
