If you plan to do a low power build (< 400 fps), its excellent. If you want a high power rifle for long range, stay away from it and get something with a bigger cylinder that has enough air volume to push heavy BBs such as a Tokyo Marui VSR10.

I'll start by saying I actually have one.

The build quality is very good, and everything fits tight. No wobbles, creaks, and the polymer is strong and got a good texture. It doesn't feel like cheap crispy hollow plastic you will find on some other like rifles.
The outer barrel is the best quality out of box one, compared to all other vsr's i've worked on.
The inner barrel is well supported, the feeding mechanism is efficient, and the hop up is good and stable...however once a scope is mounted, it's annoying to do any adjustments cause it's essentially covered.
Spring change is quite easy. Make sure you take the cylinder out and lubricate, as I it is a bit dry from factory.

In testing.... After zeroing in... 75% of shots within 0.75" at 55' with 0.20g and original spring, fps 385avg.

After spring change to an m140, and zero in, 90% of shots within 3/8" at 55' with 0.2g, and 480fps... the bolt draw required more strength to pull the stronger spring, but it was not difficult or unpleasant.

I haven't tried it with longer distances yet, waiting for spring weather. Also waiting for the co2 cylinder to come out.
For the fields locally available, and for how seldom I play, I am not concerned whatsoever about the European's issue regarding cylinder volume.

I would have liked the butt pad to have had a rubber or other softer material piece to rest against, but so far, very happy with purchase.

Would the rifle improve by shortening the inner barrel to 430mm? To improve the ratio between barrel and cylinder volume.

That would help for sure, but if you want a short rifle you might as well get a VSR10 G-Spec.

Making the barrel shorter won't increase muzzle energy

Too me. It's totally something to I want to work. Seal the cylinder tighter. I double o ring

my AEG's. I can get 350fps with .30's with an M100.

I think after RHOP or SHOP. A spring swap and some lubing and double printing the Piston. I could get a lot from just the stock spring.

It sure is a pretty rifle, and for the price I may get one once they start poping up used.

Someone someday will get a hpa setup for it working which solves any voluming issues..

Just going to update this one, if you are planning to get one or have one. Join the Ares Amoeba Striker AS01 owners in FB.

Everything you need to know about this gun is there from issues to resolutions.

Quick info:
Dual Bore barrel is out
Edgi upgrade kit is out
Mancraft gas kit is out
Upgraded hop up is currently being tested

This gun with minimum upgrades can perform very well. Will it match a vsr 10? Not yet, but again, its a new gun and the fb group have been really good in testing and giving a lot of info for improvements.

Now this gun is probably built better than their MSR338 internally, I have one but haven't had a chance to take it apart yet.
I could have made the shitbox MSR 338 on par with any other 400ft bolt action out there, it's REALLY not difficult for me to make a bolt action accurate.
The only thing the striker is going to fall short of a VSR on is the muzzle energy. But I've got some plans and I'll let you all know how it turns out...

Just a heads up, ASGI put out a PSA notifying people that the Striker was prone to slam-firing even with the safety engaged.

Got one. Got it to 490fps with a m140 AEG spring.

It's BS. It's all over the Striker Facebook page and not one person has had this issue.
