WE HK416 outer barrel removal

Hi

I was wondering if anyone knows how to remove the outer barrel from a WE HK416. I tried twisting and turning the removable portion of the barrel, and it still wont move. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated =)

Thanks

It's thread is the same as the flashhider, so CCW. Mine was a b**ch to get off and ended up using those rubber mats you use to open a jar with :P

This should not be hard. I assume you are referring to the cylindrical bolt metal piece that sits almost flush with the upper?

the twist off CCW metal outer barrel, in between the flash hider and the edge of the quad-RIS rails

Oh the end of the barrel, the smaller section, if memory serves there is a small grub screw in the gas block holding it on.

You need to take of the quad rail. Then unscrew the cylinder nut that attaches the barrel to the upper receiver. After that its pretty much a drop in barrel.
