Grande Prairie Airsoft Players

Hey! Just dropping a little Hello. Was wondering how many of you guys play around this area and if you do/have was wondering if you ever play out at Northen Lights Paintball. Thats where me and my team play most times. Most of us just started this year and are having trouble getting the gear we want but a few guys on our team have extra that they lend to us for now.

I am in Grande Prairie and there are alot of players around here. The problem lies in the nature of business and industry in this town, and getting alot of guys out to a game is difficult and unreliable. But I don't need to tell you that!!!

I've been playing at NLP for years now and seen the town grow form 1 to 2 areas and the bush sections expand all the way to the end of the property.

There is a local airsoft forum at www.skunkworxairsoft.com where all the local activity centers.

There is a large game on Sept 10th (http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=31740) and there will be a large contingent of Edmonton and BC players there as well. Perhaps you should check it out and as I'm game admin, let me know if you'd like to sign up and specify your team.

I'm also the ASC Age Rep for Northern Alberta and this game will be an Verification event for those who need it.

You can contact me here via PM or on Skunkworx as well.

And welcome.

Ha, I just noticed your profile says you work for ETL. I'm sure I'll see you around as I'm the electrician working on you're new labs for Letourneau.

Sweet. I just started working at ETL so I might see you around. And... I think I might have met you before out at one of the games in Aug. My team is with Luke right now and we don't really have a Team Name. I played with Skunkworx a few times this summer. Nice to see another Airsoft Player from this area.

*Edit* O ya, not sure about the Sept 10th game because it might be hard for some of our guys to be out there but I will pass word along to them and see how things go. I just wish I had some money to buy my gear. Been looking everywhere for either a AK-47 or AK-74 for my main and a Glock18C or Glock23F for my sidearm. Not easy I tell ya, not easy lol.

If you get Age Verified, it will open up the classifieds for you here if you're looking for used guns, gear, etc.

Hope to see you guys out there.

Myself and 4 other guys retired this year.

Might be slim pickings for next season, but I guess that will really be known next year.

I’m moving from Vancouver Island to GP in a few weeks. I will be in GP in the Beginning of January. I hope I can play up there because I will be bringing all my guns up there with me.

There are still players around here, but I'm not one of them.

I've encouraged all local players to join the GP Airsoft group on ASC. You can request to join by accessing the User CP section in the blue header above, and clicking on Group Memberships on the left-hand pull-down.

There is not much activity there these days, but between that and dropping in to Splatter Paintball to see when the airsoft games are booked, you should be covered.

I know of a few guys here in town that would like to get into a few games this coming summer. Finances are the only thing holding me back from being more involved at this time so I'm not sure if I will be among them. Being AV'd is the only thing stopping me from starting a custom build so maybe there is hope yet lol...
