Product feedback requested: Airsoft Innovations Duster Adaptors

I'm starting another run of computer duster adaptors and wanted to know if there was any feedback from users of my adaptor before I duplicate the run again.

A few small changes have been made, but I'm interested in hearing from users of my adaptor.

Also, I have heard of a few reports of the adaptor breaking, but haven't been able to see how they have failed. Has anyone broken their computer duster adaptor? I would happily trade a new adaptor from the upcoming run for ones which died in an interesting way (other than the usual dropping the can tip down).

I still have mine. Snapped filling a brand new TM 226 mag (sounded and felt like blown up, but only broke into two parts). She who must be obeyed "put it away" on me. I'll send it off this week.

Still send to the AA address or ASCA?

I'm guessing you bent the tip while it got cold filling. I'm not sure I can fix that problem. Perhaps with a material change. Return it to the AI address please.

Wow, 300 units shipped and no other comments?

This thread is refering to the duster adaptors, not propane. :-D

Mine works fine, I don't use it all that much (maybe 10-15 times at max), but it works great every time.

I filled around 100 mags with mine. So for the price im sure its useful life is extrmely good. Currently i have to use a strange ass rig using the white led carrier from those pencils you get when your young. It works but not nearly as well as the ai adaptor.

I've used mine plenty, hasnt failed me once yet. I think the plastic does very well, and making a metal version would be a waste.

Thanks for letting me know about the breakages. I have a feeling that I'm having a problem with embrittlement when the propellant chills the adaptor. I'm going to try some new materials and see if I can intentionally break an adaptor.

A metal adaptor is not in the works. I chose plastic so the duster adaptors can also be pressed onto the tip of propane adaptors:

Handy feature for revolver users who need an extension tip. Metal adaptors didn't press onto the metal propane adaptor tip without either damaging the propane adaptor (in the long run) or the duster adaptor.

I have also added a small feature to the current V4 propane adaptor. If you crunch the tip on the V4 adaptor, you can saw it off close to the root diameter (diameter just after the round shoulder at the bottle fitting) and press a duster adaptor onto the left over stub on the propane adaptor probe. The root diameter on the propane adaptor is now the same dia as the stub on a computer duster can to facilitate this.

Cheapest way to repair V4 adaptors in the field that I could figure out. Replacement probes are not easy to install into the bottle fitting because the orig probe is permanently installed into the bottle fitting so a press on replacement tip saves the user from having to ship me their busted adaptor for repair.
