that much cloud ain't going to be achieved with a regular 40mm you might as well just buy a smoke bomb cheaper and more effective

Yea, thought about it, but were too close to airports to use pyro.

Ill try it one last time with baby powder instead of flour, see if it makes any diff.

Just not enough material to give anything more than a puff.. I thought of filling it with reflective sequins to dazzle those with NVG .. pop it and illuminate with a flashlight.. I expect that would be quite a flash on NVG

Hmm, that kinda gives me an idea Brian!
Let me know if im totally off my rocker, lol.

What about... *suspense* a 203 fired Paraflare?
due to many fields having rules regarding pyro, I would like to think of a non burning type flare. Ie, chemstick? or some other kind of illumination?

I somehow doubt a little mini parachute would actually work effectively though. This would be similar in principle to most model rockets (which use solid fuel engines for propellant (which in this case would be co2))

And of course for safety reasons, you wouldnt want to shoot someone with it, youd aim it in the air, but that leads to another issue of "littering" as if it gets tangled up in a tall branch, you may not be able to get it down.

Would make for an awsome photo op tho for a night game

The reflective sequins is a very unique and ingenous idea, but I think the use would be very limited to night games, and further limited to when combatting NVG's would it not? Which also brings up to the question. How often would you know that someone is looking in your direction with an NVG. If your popping em in the air randomly hoping to find some use, I think it would not be very effective and youd be beaconing yourself by using the flashlight for the whole field. Other than that, I think its a great idea

What if you filled one of those air/water rockets up with flour, and it'll throw out the flour as it flies?

Foam Rocket with a mini glowstick stuck in the middle of it, though, a green laser straight up in the air would work much more effectively.

Yea but the trick is having it "float" down. Paraflares are useless if they just hit the ground like a rock before having a chance to illuminate the field lol.

Picture this :
Your in a zombie game, hunkered behind a small building/fortification...
All is silent, flare pops up, and you see a dozen silohettes surrounding the building slowly walking towards you.

To experience that would really float my boat

Not sure though that a glowstick would be bright enough to have that effect.
perhaps a small SuperLED Module? with a button battery or something powering it?

Lol 9000 lumens? Im running 500Lumen Scorpions, and thats enough to turn night into day. While your idea sounds like fun. Im still stuck with an XMPB4 that I really dont have a use for lol.

Im trying to turn it into a specialty grenade of some sort, something to justify having it in my kit.

You can order 4x 210Lumen Luxeon LEDs for dirt cheap online. Add a CR123A and put that inside/around a NERF rocket. Add a chute on the top of the NERF rocket (wraped around the nose) so that when the rocket starts to slow down, the chute will open. You got a 800 Lumen spotlight right there, cheap enough to be lost and effective enought to see in the night.
