Madbull XMPB4 40mm CO2 Grenades

Alright, I picked up one of these babys. I somehow got it in my head that these can be used as makeshift "smoke" nades. I filled it with flour and propane (yes i know it ment for CO2, but i didnt want to waste a cartridge to test 1 shot at home) but even packed with flour and covered with tissue wadding, I find the dispersal to be too great that all you get is a light dusting in the wind. With almost full visibility, as the flour did nothing to impair visibility.

Am I doing this wrong? Or was I mistaken in my beleif that these grenades can be used as a smoke grenade?

If so other than its origional purpose (paintball) what would be the purpose to use this grenade over my XM108's?

Ive done a search but the only things i can find on ASC is mentioning of filling the grenade with bb's and put tissue wadding, but with less than 1/2 of the capacity of the 108's, I wonder if its really worth it.

that shell is great if you want to launch projectiles like nerf rockets. Also faster to reload than the 108rnd shells.

Proably my favorite shell.

It's got more power to launch the bbs if you fill it up with them (of so I've been told)

You either go 108 or 204 or go home, the multi purpose shells are good for two things, paintball and scared the shit out of somebody during CQB

darkangel, best use for them is with 50 BB's of various weights (.12-.25) and a tissue paper wade. CO2 to 600ish psi and you're good to go.

the reason I love these is because you can do a field reload at a spawn point or allowed reload location with relative easy and quickness.

reset nade, pour in some bb's, stuff with a tissue wade or a leaf, gas with portable 12g charger, load and arm launcher and fire.

Oh shit, I think I have an idea, but im not sure if itll fly. Id need disposable UV Led's, but I think it can be done.

Remember those Multicolour Madbull .12's that Duy had on sale before?

I have 1-2 full bottles of those, and Ive been itching to give sum1 multicoloured jizm of GID's.

If only I could modify the nade itself to fit an LED unit. The only thing i can think of is disposable LED taped to a small button battery that spews out with the 203 rounds.

Shit... if only we had these for Zeon's "Zombies" :P

Yea, I was thinking the same thing. What about a 203 sleeve lined with UV LED's?

Would have to have a metal outer shell and a plexiglass inner shell (to protect the LED's from being shot)

Darkangel, I totally thought it would work as a smoke grenade too. That really sucks man, it would be so nice to get in afire fight where I was over powered and then *POOF* gone. did you try any other powder or maybe duster instead of propane? Seems like this idea is goin back to the shop for now. BUT you can mix bbs and flour for a more realistic bang-poof-thwack combo...

The plan was to obscure a path between buildings so that our team can hop from building to building without opfor able to do anything but shoot into a cloud, and would not be able to tell how many people are going between the bulidings etc.
