Compared to some shitty cloned m2 aimpoints, I think this eotech replica I received is much much better, worth the $40 for sure :P

No auto-dimming, but it's got manually adjustable brightness settings; 11 levels I think.

I've noticed some ghosting in mine (ghosting is a faintly visible "phantom" reticle offset from the real one; it's a reflection caused by light bouncing between lenses.) Real steel holosights have coated lenses to prevent this. It can be a distraction with some sights; this one's not bad enough to bother me.
Really, $40 is a deal; I highly recommend it. Simple to use, looks/fits good on a SCAR; kinda bulky (and fugly) on my P90, but works great; on a DTP triple-rail thingy it sits at the perfect height for me.

DealExtreme is a good site, I've ordered & recieved several items from them with no problems; it can take them several days to assemble complex orders. Shipping is slow (two to three weeks to arrive in Vancouver), but can't complain, as it's free.

And that time includes a week's aging in customs before they decide to send it through without opening it. :banghead:

Just ordered a $30 Docter clone from them (http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.21959); I'll post details when it arrives.

@ Wildlife: I don't know the size of the RDS you expect it to be, but it's actually kinda small, I was surprised as I tough it would be bigger. I received my package yesterday, no 552 in it! But they sent a second tracking for the same order, so I suppose it shall be in the second shipping...

Wildlife i'm real interested in the Doctor replica myself so please do let know when you receive it! The one review on DeX claims that there is some parallax, so if you could test that when you got it...

And man i'm so tempted to buy an EoTech. Has anyone gotten one recently? They still the same as the ones from earlier? Wouldn't be surprised if it was a different set of EoTechs at this point haha
