M203 Grip

Alright before anyone flames me, yes I know there is a thread on this thing but its from 04 and to post there would result in flames for necro posting, so i went with the lesser of 2 evils.

anyways, what i want to know is, has anyone used one of these? yes i know there ugly and all but i want to know about performance more so id like to hear from any CF members (or other nations) who have used it as I'm currently debating getting one for the real steel 203 and, why not use it in airsoft as well eh?

for ppl who don't know the M203 grip (www.m203grip.com) is a vert grip made to attach to the under slung M203 (but I'm guessing it will work on the stand alone single shot ver as well)

any feedback you guys can give me would be appreciated greatly.

Thanks

P.S I agree its ugly...

I agree with everything you said lol but sometimes its better to just agree with ppl then come out and say it looks sexy lol

the light ver looks good, but if you run an ris setup you wont need it...makes me wonder if there has ever been a 203 with ris rails on it...

They have a folding AK Grip

i figure would be more useful considering the added bulk of a full size vert grip.

The M203 Grip is a good idea -- once you start using a vertical grip, you come to miss it when it's not there -- but it's way overprices (almost $250: http://www.ustacticalsupply.com/inde...S&Category=117 )

All things considered, I'm surprised no one's come out with a replacement M203 handguard with it's own accessory rail (two half shells with a recessed rail inside a wider channel; mount the grip of your choice, or use a regular RIS cover plate to return the grip to its usual rounded configuration with nothing sticking out.)

I have contacted the seller and they say that it is prohibated and they cant ship to Canada.
I have pleded with them to ship to me at my risk and am awaiting a response from CBSA or CSBA or whatever they are called I sent them a link to the grip and asked them to confirm if it is a restricted item or not. I will keep postin info as I get it.
If anyone can confitrm if this is restricted please let me know thanks.

The price could be so high because nobody else has come up with the idea...
Although it would take very little to duplicate. You could easily buy a RIS grip and attach a clamp. I'm thinking PVC. Get a half inch piece of tubing, smaller diam than within the grooves of the 203 grip. cut a notch out, so the pipe is in a C shape.
Fasten it to the RIS grip with a screw. Blam-o.

After calling many smaller surplus shops etc in the USA. I think they just don't want to send their stock to Canada.
Similar scenario, was told that 1940's aviation goggles, and various mag pouches were illegal to export. And that was it.

Postal code?!!?!?
Sorry, Buh Bahhh.
