A drum mag with a string pull like that would be great for my RPK; lots of shooting without pushing the battery-button every few trigger pulls! not to mention the winding motor not activating because something bumped into it!

I have 8 midcaps (MAG brand) and 1 highcap. I just have it as a "backup" mag at local games since most people at that particular field are less than 18 (often less than 16). Anywhere else it's the midcaps (100rnd)

i usually keep 1 hi cap in my loadout, but its for specific situations

like acting as a long range machete to clear through some bush (right amos?)

and if there is a specific player i know not calling his hits and i want to make sure there are more rounds going down range so he cant just ignore them, other than that i run 8 of the 50rd green label pmags

I think we would have been better off throwing logs at each other in that situation... it may have knocked down the trees between us...

Pull-string mags? That's brilliant! I need to get one of these for my RPK so I dont have to carry a 2500rnd maraca around with me

But in reality, I don't mind people having a highcap as back-up. But that's what it is, back-up incase your mids/lows are out. If your accustomed to lowcaps and midcaps, that usually doesn't happen in everyday skirmishes.

The thing that bugs me is people with only high-caps that cut down trees and bushes 10 feet in front of you because they saw a shadow, then manage to miraculously lob one BB onto you out of 300 shots.

I have never owned a high cap in my life. I played skirmishes with one mid cap when I first started. Though I understand the need for noobs to have them for a while I don't understand why they don't just order mags with the gun. Having a high cap as back up is pretty stupid too honestly. It's like someone just miracled your ass 500 rounds.

Having your ass miracled is gay.

I FUCKING HATE HIGHCAPS.

I fucking hate playing at games where people use them.

100-150 midcaps aren't a whole shitload better.

Reason #2 why I don't find airsoft fun anymore: I shit you not, the last 4 or so games I went to degraded into a long-range round slinging shit fest for 10 fucking minutes because everyone was using their AEG's as fucking machine guns. Hicaps are fine if hosts actively enforce ammo restrictions, but nobody seems to do that anymore unless it's a milsim game.

So, standard mags > hicaps.

Also, hicaps rattle and don't feed unless upright.

What about loading a high cap with a speedloader? This way you really get a low cap in a high cap shell. I was planning to so this as my rig carries 6 mags and I only have 5 low/mids.
