MP5 Style grip for XCR?

I picked up a VFC x Socom Gear Robinson Armament XCR: https://triggerairsoft.com/shop/imag...nson%20xcr.jpg.

I'm trying to make it look like a rifle from a videogame, as seen here:

All I need to make it look just right is a bit of painting and stuff like that, but I'm having trouble finding something like that MP5 style grip.

Does anybody have any suggestions? I suppose I could make my own, but I have no clue how to go about doing that.

isn't that a FAL?

FAL =/= XCR

It's not a FAL actually, but it has FAL elements. All the guns from that game are uniquely designed probably to avoid licensing fees. The gun is basically an XCR with a slightly different body.

The point is that that's a not a MP5 grip.

The nearest you'll find is a SAW grip.

You would have been miles closer if you started out with a FNC or AK-5.

Reminds me more of an FNC

I don't see the similarities between this weapons and the XCR. Why are you butchering an XCR for something like this? Especially when the similarities will not be apparent to those around you

If I were to go with an FNC, is it possible to find longer hand grips?

EDIT: and a longer barrel?

answer to both will more than likely be a no.

Longer inner barrel yes, longer outer, probably not as modular as m4s.

The aftermarket for anything that isn't an M4 is slim. After M4 the most aftermarket support is probably in AK or g36 and even those can get very limited.

FALs are generally on the proprietary side of things in terms of their parts, since there have been a fair number of them from different manufacturers (real steel and airsoft) over the years.

They don't have swappable outer barrels in real steel, you generally buy the one in the length you want. The platform was never designed to be modular.

So in the case of the FAL, you get what you get with it. If you can't find parts for it, then they don't exist or you aren't googling hard enough to find out they don't exist.

There is no such thing as an mp5 style (or more accurately g3 styled) grip for the FAL because FAL is made by FN herstal in belguim while the MP5 and it's grandfather the g3 are by HK in germany. The grips on all the G3 decedents are integrated with the lower receiver on HK guns.

You're basically asking if you can put FORD parts on a CHEVROLET.

I suppose everybody has been a noob at some point, right? I enjoyed the exposition dump though. Anyway my order was too late to be cancelled so I guess I'm stuck with the XCR. Still a nice gun from what I gather.

This just feels like a waste of a thread now. Or maybe it always did.

I wouldn't feel too bad. I love the looks of the XCR. I'd love a real one, too..
