Oh well, that's fine for you, but some people like to re-enact. This thread is not about whether or not you would wear SS insignia and the reasons why, but about where to get reproduction gear. It's kinda like me explaining why I would never wear Czech badges, but I don't think anyone gives a shit.

Just a nagging reminder, WWII gear and cheap are words not often found together. For those that are inclined to higher standards of authenticity one can note certain deficiencies in some of his gear.

An example that immediately shows up is in the German field gear. The bread bag has the leather pieces attached with a type of rivet when in reality they should be sewn on. Also the leather itself appears to garment weight which is rather soft and flexible rather than the much heavier leather which is used on military equipment.

Here are some links for comparison
His gear.

A bread bag by 1944 militaria a highly respected supplier for reenactors.

careful analysis will show significant differences.

Just a reminder to keep your eyes open. Inauthentic on one, inauthentic on others?

You can also find some cheaper repos on E bay sometimes. Only problem is E bay aren't allowed to show swastikas or SS runes so you'll have to get insignia elsewhere.
