Metal Hop Up and Plastic Receiver

hey i was just wondering... is it possible on an m4 to use a metal hop up with a plastic receiver if you just dremel out enough room for it to fit through in the lower?

im not really sure i wanna do it but i have a spare metal hop unit and my brothers s-system has a plastic body and he isnt into making them all metal. he doesnt care about that so it wont ever be getting a metal body bought for it, and then i have this metal hop up just layin around that id like to get some use out of

im just wondering cuz it seems simple enough but im not gonna attempt to mod the lower receiver and end up ruining it by finding out that the parts are too different to be able to work together

is that all that needs done is to just dremel out enough room in the spot where the plastic one sits?

yea which i just found out after taking his gun in half. i didnt account for the air nozzel sticking out and then the front of the lower. i wasnt about to cut it up that much to make room for it to slide through and said the hell with it. he didnt even care about the metal hop up anyway so why waste my time goin through a bunch of trouble if he dont give a shit. ill just add it to the things im gonna put up for sale eventually on a forum down here

Should've just bought a 2 piece hop up.
I find the 2 piece hop up more better than the 1 piece.

You can assemble it quite easy.

Simply place the inner/hop-up where it will be when the gun is closed.

Then insert it through the outer barrel.

And close the receiver.
