A&K M249 Ammo Box

Hey Guys:

I have an A&K M249 with a screwed up ammo box. Which aftermarket box mags is it compatible with?

Will it fit Classic Army or Top M249 Box Mags?

Thanks.
M

nope, not classic army or TOP (they're basically the same, seeing as how the CA M249 Is based on the TOP M249 with a PGC Gearbox)

I own a TOP (with PGC) but i would give a _guess_ (and PLEASE check before ordering) i would guess it's similar to the G&P

but i've not handled a G&P m249 so the above is speculation..

I fit CA Box Mags to my A&K M249 Para no problem. I have also used MAG brand 100 Rnd drums as well with the CA feed Tube etc.

A&K M249 is a clone of the CA Version.

+1. Any box mag designed for CA will work with the A&K.

WHats wrong with the drum mag? They are actually really simply designed and easy to take apart. Could be an easy fix.

+1 any of the CA or CA-compatible boxmags/nutsacks will fit the A&K

I wasn't impressed with the A&K boxmag myself. If I planned on using those boxmags I'd definitely pick up a different brand one.

I know it's a little late but let me just say that the a&k boxmag is still usable if the whole sound circuit board totally breaks. Just remove the circuit board and all the wires, then directly rewire the battery tray and motor to a wire switch. Remove the coil spring where the sound mic wires pass and use the hole that is exposed to pass the wire switch that will be soldered to the motor and battery. Sorry if my english is a bit lacking since I'm fully asian and english is my second language. Even the CA and Mag boxmag are only electric wind and as far as I know does not have the sound activation feature.

If it help I actually have a complete inside of a A&K box mag if you want it. I bought it to fix up on of my TOP mag boxes but never got around to doing it. If you want it I'm sure we can work something out.

get one of those MAG 2500 round ones, they're tinier than the green one you get and makes the gun alot easier to hold onto.
